Design meets technology

Overview

McLaren don’t do anything unless they can be the best at it. 

It was with premise we approached a brief to redesign the webiste of McLaren Applied Technologies. We knew it had to perform flawlessly and look every part of what you’d expect a perfectly crafted McLaren product to be, but we were also given the challenge for it to be fully responsive right down to Blackberry mobile, be built on a robust CMS and perform excellently through SEO, all on a very modest budget.

When possible we added in as much flare through coding as we could manage. As well as the navigation we gave a lot of love to the entry carousel and rollovers throughout the site, resulting in a project that was very positively received by both the clients and users.

We took an immersive, editorial approach to the content, using the excellent brand assets to draw the user in and make each template feel bespoke. To help this special attention was taken in creating flexible typography modules, supported by full width images and video.

Role
I was the lead creative on the project, working with the client to understand their needs and requirements as well as designing and presenting finished work to them. I also worked closely with the tech department ensuring that the work was on target and worked as the original design intended.
